Photo Contest Entry Information
Rules & Prizes
For every $15, you are allowed to enter three separate images. You can enter as many images as you would like in quantities of three. All proceeds go to the Ludington Area Arts Council as a fund raiser.
- Include: Please include the name of the photo, who took it, where it was taken, and when it was taken.
- Deadline: The deadline to email images has been extended to midnight, January 31, 2010
- Image Dimensions:
- Horizontal photographs: width = 800 pixels
- Vertical photographs: height = 800 pixels
- Square format: 800 pixels x 800 pixels
Entries will be emailed to a special address set up for the contest. You will receive
a reply from Todd and Brad Reed photography within 2-3 business days. Please
note that Todd and Brad Reed will NOT see the photos until after the contest
has finished and therefore will not be able to offer comments and constructive criticism
on entries until judging has been completed.. The Grand Prize winner will be contacted for a printable, high-resolution file of the winning photograph.
- Categories: Photos will be judged in three categories: People (includes
sports, portraits, and family photos), Landscape/Nature, and Abstract.
- Judging: Todd and Brad Reed will not see the photos until
all entries have been submitted and will not know who photographed each entry until
judging has been completed. There will be a first, second, and third place
winner for each category as well as an overall grand prize winner. Photographers
are eligible to win/place in multiple categories, however the Grand Prize winning
photo will not win a category placing. The Grand Prize will be awarded for
the entry that exibits superior artistry and technique.
- Prizes: All LAAC Photo Contest prizes will receive gift certificates to
Todd and Brad Reed Photography. All third place winners will receive a $30
gift certificate, second place winners will receive a $50 certificate, and first
place winners will receive a $100 gift certificate. The grand prize winner
will receive a $200 giift certificate. Todd & Brad Reed Photography will print, matte, and frame a 14 inch print of the grand prize winning photo which will
be on display at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts for a year.

The Steps
1. Organize and size your entries.
2. Click on the payment button below. We have a secure payment system through Paypal (you do not need a Paypal account to use Paypal - it's fast and simple!)
3. After paying click Return to Ludington Area Arts Council where you will find a link for emailing us your photographs.
4. Attach your photos to the email, include the PayPal Receipt ID
and the required information for each image and send:
- Name of the photo
- Who took it
- Where it was taken
- When it was taken
5. Within 2-3 business days you'll receive a confirmation from Todd & Brad Reed Photography confirming your entries.
